JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President Commercial Leader, Parata is accountable for the overall sales revenue achievement and commercial delivery for the Parata product lines in the United States, inclusive of sales, marketing and support.  This leader will collaborate with regional teams as necessary to deliver on objectives. In collaboration with the MMS US Regional Sales Leadership Team, will lead Specialty Sales, Business Development teams and have matrix leadership for all Parata related initiatives and strategies across all markets, inclusive of marketing, implementation, professional services, field services to support delivery of sales growth goals. Accountable for achieving committed contract and revenue expectations, building commercial excellence, talent development and performance management, and operating within budget. This position reports to the VP/General Manager Pharmacy Automation and collaborates closely with the VP/General Manager US Region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage sales pipeline to effectively to meet or exceed committed contract, revenue and margin objectives along with customer retention in the area.

  • Develop a team responsible for leading the negotiations of complex, multi-million, multi-year contracts with C-Suite level executives, and build an organization capable of selling these enterprise solutions.

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business, long term customer relationships and retaining customers.

  • Ensures timely and accurate execution of MMS strategy along with tactical implementation programs and utilization of reporting systems.

  • Responsible for implementing a talent plan with each direct report that focuses on individual development planning as well as building capability across the selling organization.

  • Develops processes for monitoring and measuring sales objectives within area. Interfaces with cross functional teams to ensure effective linkage to influencing and supporting field-based sales activities and customer delivery.

  • Establishes effective relationships with external customers and utilizes those relationships to strengthen MMS competitive position and performance.

  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity, providing feedback and strategic recommendations to company leadership team and other company functions.

  • Coach, mentor, and raise the team’s ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent.

  • Serve as member of cross-functional Pharmacy Automation LT and PDT to provide guidance and oversight for product development, M&A, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and BD regulations/policies/ procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.

  • 15 years leadership experience and demonstrated consistent sales success within Medical Device industry. 

  • Exhibited proven success at the sales leadership level, with 12+ years of sales experience and progressive levels of responsibilities and accountabilities in leadership roles.

  • At least 10 years’ experience selling capital and software products in the Medical or Pharmacy industry.

  • Excellent people leadership skills; has strong track record in attracting, retaining and developing talent.

  • Successful experience leading without authority across matrixed organizations.
