This role will require travel and can be based in major cities in California, Arizona or Seattle, WA.

Job Summary:

The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Member Experience is responsible for driving usage, revenue, retention, and member satisfaction across a portfolio of golf and country clubs. The RVP is accountable for ensuring that all aspects of the Member Journey — from the day a Member joins to the day they leave — are executed consistently and effectively at each Club in their region. This includes setting the strategy, allocating resources, and ensuring execution to meet key performance indicators and company standards. The RVP will work closely with the SVP of Operations, General Managers and Department Heads to develop and implement targeted strategies that increase Member engagement, drive revenue, and improve retention.

Key Objectives

The RVP will be directly responsible for ensuring the following outcomes at their assigned clubs:

  • Increased Member Usage and Revenue – Develop and execute strategies that drive higher Member engagement and spending.
  • Higher Retention and Satisfaction – Ensure a positive and consistent Member experience that leads to greater retention and overall satisfaction.
  • Strategic Oversight of the Member Journey – Manage the full Member lifecycle, from onboarding and programming to communication and retention.
  • Execution and Accountability – Hold clubs accountable for meeting the region and company standards and performance expectations.

Core Focus Areas

Onboarding & First-Year Management – Ensure all clubs have a structured onboarding process that welcomes and connects new Members through the first year of membership effectively.

Programming & Engagement – Ensure all clubs have an active, purposeful calendar that meets the needs of all demographics in the club, for the current member and the future member. This includes developing standards, event P&L expectations and sharing best practices. 

Communication Strategy – Ensure consistent, effective communication across all channels (email, in club, social media, text, member website, app) to amplify the Club story and increase engagement.

Retention Strategies – Lead data-driven retention efforts, including the At-Risk Member Engagement and Early Tenure Management program, to proactively influence engagement trends and impact retention.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Set clear direction and expectations for all clubs in the region regarding the Member Experience strategy.
    • Allocate resources effectively to ensure successful execution of Member programs and retention initiatives.
    • Regularly assess club performance and implement adjustments to meet goals.
  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, select, and onboard Member Experience Directors (MEDs) based on company standards.
    • Provide training and ongoing professional development for the Member Experience team.
    • Create a culture of accountability, motivation, and high performance.
    • Provide recognition and feedback to drive continual improvement.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the creation and execution of strategic Member retention and engagement plans.
    • Ensure clubs are leveraging data and analytics to personalize experiences and drive greater wallet share.
    • Monitor and ensure consistent communication of ClubLife across all channels, including email, social media, and in-person interactions.
    • Lead regional performance reviews and strategy meetings to align on key objectives and opportunities.
    • Ensure programming aligns with club demographics and enhances Member satisfaction.
