JOB SUMMARY: The Independent Contractor Recruiter for Stevens Transport CD, Inc. This position will report to the I/C Business Advisor Manager. This role focuses on recruiting qualified Independent Contractors for Stevens Transport CD, Inc., ensuring a steady pipeline of professional Independent Contractors to meet the company’s operational needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Key Responsibilities  

Recruitment & Onboarding: 

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet the Independent Contractor hiring goals for Stevens Transport CD, Inc. 

  • Post job advertisements on various platforms and manage the job requisition process. 

  • Source, screen, and interview potential driver candidates. 

  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding orientations for new Independent Contractors. 

  • High volume phones, presentation skills, organization, and enthusiastic attitude. 

Relationship Management: 

  • Coaching potential Independent Contractors on best practices that will help create effective business ownership 

  • Identifying ways to increase potential Independent Contracts revenue opportunities through revenue growth and controlling expenses (improving miles, decreasing fuel costs, etc.) 

  • Act as a liaison between driver candidates and the Contractor Business Advisor Manager. 

  • Maintain regular communication with prospective Independent Contractors throughout the onboarding process. 

Independent Contractor Support:** 

  • Provide ongoing support to contracted drivers regarding onboarding processes and company policies. 

  • Address and resolve driver inquiries and issues in a timely manner. 

  • Assist in coordinating training and development programs for contracted drivers. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in recruitment, particularly within the transportation or logistics industry. 

  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations. 

  • Experience working with driver recruitment or similar roles in the transportation sector.
