Summary
Allocation planning to ensure sufficient capacity to accommodate existing & anticipated volumes in all export trades & the import trades from Asia / Effective steering of volumes to meet volume targets (annual carrier commitments & contract MQC’s) / Tactical shifting of volume to meet NAC:FAK commitments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Procuring regular allocations directly from the carriers or via the Product Managers to accommodate forecasted booking volumes
- Creation & maintenance of the TPEB allocation plan (‘Routing Guide’) in conjunction with the Customer Performance & Product Managers
- Management of the GPM Allocation Tool
- Regular interaction with the CMC to ensure effective execution of the allocation plan
- Surcharge Summaries
- Maintenance of GOP Sharepoint
- Annual volume target & contract MQC fulfillment
- Optimized NAC capacity usag
- Elimination of deadfreight risk
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelors’ level education
- 5 years or more working in trade or allocation management for a major freight forwarder or ocean carrier
- Advanced analytical skills
- High proficiency in Excel

Physical Demands
Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. Hours can be extensive as well as occasionally staggered for multi-shift access. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Minimal travel maybe required for this role domestically and internationally.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. For this position, the expected base pay is: $94,500 - $142,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
