The hospital offers a range of services, including orthopedics, spine surgery, sports medicine, scoliosis treatment, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and pediatric rehabilitation and therapy. The facility is Joint Commission accredited, reflecting its commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and quality care. We offer low-cost, on-site parking. Job Overview

Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Our team of highly specialized physicians provides comprehensive care for children with fractures, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, scoliosis, spinal cord conditions, and spine injuries.

 

We have an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.  The schedule is 36 hours per week, with 12 hour shifts 11am-11:30pm. 

 

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 
• The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. 
• Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. 
• Monitors children’s activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma / GED

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

 

Preferred:

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

One year of pediatric experience
