Job Overview

Shriners Children’s Lexington, has an opportunity for a Patiennt Care Assistant II  to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. 

 

Monday - Friday, no weekends, holidays, or nights.  Excellent Benefits. Parking is paid by Shriners, no cost to the employee.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean environment in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) following infection control policies and procedures.
• Terminally cleans OR and ancillary areas at the end of the day’s schedule.
• Transports patients and transports specimens to the Laboratory.
• Assist medical staff in cast removal and application
• Maintains supplies for cast cart and equipment for procedures.

This is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities.  The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required:

• Current full Covid-19 vacination status required.

 

Preferred:

• High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• One year housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for universal precautions preferred.
