***This position requires overnight travel, up to 85% of the time, Monday - Friday***

 

This is a remote based customer facing position.  To support and service our customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following states: Ohio.

Duties

•    Complete all corporate and departmental training which includes the ORI Technician Technical & Leadership Training Plan.
•    During training, this position will work closely with a training mentor to install operating room integration systems. This includes physical placement of equipment, installation, termination, and interconnection of all cables, downloading and configuration of software; and testing of all functions per test documentation as required. 
•    Operates with limited direct supervision.
•    Upon completion of the ORI Technician Technical & Leadership Training Plan, lead small to medium size installations without direct supervision.  Responsible for the installation of operating room integration systems with oversight of Integration Project Manager. Basic duties include installation, testing, and demonstration of integration systems.
•    Will be required to interface with subcontractors, STERIS Personnel, Customers and hospital staff as needed to complete installation.
•    When in a leadership role, provide verbal and written progress reports to the Installation Project Manager.
•    Perform administrative duties in a timely manner including checklists, Siebel entry, expense reporting, time entry, and others as required.
•    Responsible for coordinating personal travel to and from job site location using Company travel portal.
•    Maintains courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.

Required Experience

•    Associate's degree in Electronics, mechanical or similar degree, plus one year of related experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of experience
•    Minimum of one to two years’ experience in a related field of work with service support and/or installation - biomed, electronics, audio/video, or hospital IT experience a plus.
•    Excellent knowledge of personal computers, video technology, video cabling, networking.
•    Held previous leadership role(s) providing oversight to meet project timelines and direction team members is preferred.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Technical and troubleshooting skills along with strong organization and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency in computers and windows software strongly preferred. 
•    Excellent, polished customer interaction skills. Ability to communicate professionally and articulately with customers.
•    Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
•    Ability to work flexible hours and travel extensively as required.
•    Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
