Program Director - Research and Development

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Under general direction, manages the planning and execution of projects and ensures that scope, schedule, and resource objectives are met; interacts with sponsors and stakeholders from multiple constituencies to establish program goals and objectives, identifying resource requirements and acquiring appropriate resources; coordinates the efforts of team members and to deliver program according to the plan; coordinates integration and communication of program efforts across a variety of stakeholders; monitors and manages program issues, risks, and quality throughout program cycles.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engages with stakeholders to define, develop, and document program goals, objectives, requirements, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the broader strategic vision.
• Identifies and secures resources by assessing skill requirements, negotiating resource allocation, and balancing workload distribution across multiple projects to meet program objectives effectively.
• Develops comprehensive program plans and associated communication materials, including schedules, agendas, and performance tracking tools, while facilitating stakeholder meetings to monitor progress.
• Implements structured communication strategies to ensure clarity in program expectations, delivering progress reports, proposals, and presentations while serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to scope, schedule, and resources.
• Leads continuous program evaluation and improvement efforts, identifying risks, streamlining processes, and ensuring successful program execution.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong quantitative skills required.
• Knowledge of the U.S K-12 system, including experience and a commitment to working with urban Catholic schools, charter schools and other organizations serving under resourced community.
• Ability and desire to work in a collaboration between the PRiME Center and the Office of Public School Partnerships. 
• Ability and desire to work in a collaboration between the PRiME Center and the Hermann Center for Innovation in Catholic Education. 
• Experience collecting, cleaning, and analyzing quantitative data sets.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with one (1) year of related work experience in project management, business, or in the non-profit sector.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree
• Knowledge of and/or experience with digital humanities
• Experience facilitating an advisory board
• Experience organizing K-12 education partnerships and programming
