About the role

Description

The Department of Mathematics and Technology at Flagler College is seeking adjunct faculty memebers to begin in Fall 2025. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. The candidate must be a team player who is willing to work with a team of instructors. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience teaching Introductory Statistics, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, and/or Calculus. The greatest need currently is for Introductory Statistics instructors. Adjuncts typically teach one or two undergraduate courses per semester. The Department of Mathematics and Technology offers majors and minors in Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, and Data Science. Instructors teach courses in the majors, service courses for other majors, and in the CORE curriculum.

Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.

2. Evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate statistics/mathematics courses.

3. A commitment to mentoring students.
