TITLE:                      Senior Manager, Engineering

Duties:                    Provide strong leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Collaborate closely with product management and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and schedules. Plan and prioritize engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within allocated resources and timelines. Monitor project progress, identify and address risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed. Drive technical excellence and innovation within the engineering team, encouraging creativity and continuous learning. Encourage the adoption of modern engineering practices, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability. Promote a strong focus on quality assurance, testing, and security throughout the engineering lifecycle. Remote work permitted.

SCHEDULE:             40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

SALARY:                  $146,078.00 per year

LOCATION:             SMB IT, Inc., 300 Continental Drive Newark, DE 19713

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, any Engineering field, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role where required experience gained.

ALTERNATE

REQUIREMENTS:  In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the company will also accept a Master’s degree in stated fields and three (3) year of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS:     Also requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

• Software development, system design, or related technical experience.
• Software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with cloud services.
• Project management.
