Treasury Operations Leader

Overview:
The Treasury Operations Leader will report to Talcott’s Treasurer and will work within the Treasury team to accurately manage the cash-related financial assets and risks specific to Talcott Resolution’s domestic and global legal entities.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee leadership of corporate cash operations
• Support the core liquidity strategy to maximize investment opportunity and portfolio management
• Assists the corporate treasurer in the direction and management of treasury activities
• Oversee treasury operations activities and guarantee financial transactions, policies and procedures that fulfill the organization's goals and requirements, as well as regulatory body requirements
• Proactively manages Treasury Operations staff and coaches Talcott employees based on Treasury functions
• Provide project management support related to treasury operations, system upgrades, or process improvements.
• Proactively support the ongoing development of the treasury operations staff
• Communicate complex financial concepts and strategies to senior management
• Support bank relationship management for both operating and investment bank accounts/portfolios
• Access bank portals for cash monitoring and cash transfer initiations.
• Support treasury systems compliance for security entitlements and maintenance
• Support compliance with all necessary risk controls and accounting measures to run a rigorous, sophisticated and protected treasury operations environment
• Constantly challenge legacy processes and be empowered to innovate continuous improvements in underlying processes and controls

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Requires 5+ years of managerial experience
• Requires 10+ years of Treasury related experience
• CTP designation required
• Insurance industry and investment management knowledge
• Expertise in financial software, spreadsheets (like Excel), and specialized treasury management systems.
• Prior FIS experience will be helpful
• Prior knowledge of life insurance sector will be helpful
• Prior experience of people leadership in treasury operations is helpful
• Ethical standards and behavior

• Prior experience with automation of treasury processes
• Solid proficiency with MS Office and other financial analysis tools
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex financial information to leadership

• Ability to make informed decisions based on financial data
