In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Lead Guitar Department Office Assistant works in the Guitar Office in 921 Boylston St. and reports to the Guitar Department Coordinator and Senior Coordinator. This position is for the Spring 2025 semester with the potential to continue employment in future semesters.Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lead Guitar Department Office Assistant will primarily assist with department based tasks such as:
- Develop and maintain work study student schedules: Ensuring there's adequate coverage by organizing shift schedules
- Will serve as team mentor for student employees, providing guidance and motivation during guitar department events.
- Oversee the Faculty Lab/Room signout documents
- Oversee and relay incoming student email communication from guitar@berklee.edu email to Guitar Department chairs and coordinators.
The Lead Guitar Department Office Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the following office duties:
- Serve as a greeter/receptionist
- Respond to office phone calls.
- Help with general office operations including keeping files, entering and retrieving data, organizing office supplies, checking mail, and photocopying
- Assist the Chair, Assistant Chair, Coordinators, and faculty with various projects Daily inventory of the Guitar Library
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Self-motivated and conscientious worker
- Excellent communication/people skills
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Must be available Thursday and Fridays afternoons
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
