Pharmacy Supply Chain Analyst; HSO Pharmacy; Mount Sinai Hospital

Under general direction of Pharmacy Supply Chain leadership, the Pharmacy Projects Specialist serves as the on-site point of contact and liaison between Mount Sinai and our primary drug wholesaler McKesson to respond to requests for issue resolution, including delivery, contracts, pricing, account setup and credits, utilizing McKesson support resources network where necessary. This role sources data and generates appropriate reports in support of Pharmacy initiatives and strategy. This role ensures continued implementation of McKesson programs and solutions keeping us informed on progress and status. This role is responsible for reviewing reports and purchasing history and assisting with implementation of initiatives targeted at cost savings.
 

 

1. Actively solicits and addresses MSHS Pharmacy service needs and issues within current contract with McKesson, determining appropriate McKesson support and escalating to the appropriate McKesson team(s) to ensure total end resolution.
2. Provides onsite, expert support for all new account setup, new associate training and reporting out of the McKesson Connect ordering platform.
3. Serves as the on-site subject matter expert (SME) for use of the McKesson Connect ordering platform and health system report generation and interpretation.
4. Partners effectively with MSHS Pharmacy stakeholders including senior leadership, and McKesson support teams to ensure our business goals are met.
5. Meets regularly with internal stakeholders to solicit feedback on McKesson service performance and establish mutually agreed upon goals to address unmet needs.
6. Stays informed of Mount Sinai’s and, in particular, Pharmacy vision and long-term strategy, and, as appropriate, relays to McKesson leadership to ensure their readiness to support.
7. Participates in cost saving initiatives such as GPO or contract integrity, and inventory optimization.
8. Partnering with McKesson teams, oversees the issuance of the following reports metrics, as defined and aligned with Mount Sinai team. 
9. Participates in management forums where such metrics are reviewed and supports improvement plans as necessary.
10. Participates in regularly required service compliance training. Completes all training on time.
11. Performs additional, related duties as assigned.
     

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, quantitative or management discipline preferred
• Thorough understanding of supply chain and Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) best practices
• Change management, project management, the ability to work effectively and drive alignment in a dynamic environment through strong communication and empowerment
• Deep knowledge of continuous improvement tools, lean manufacturing and six-sigma.
• Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), database systems, and preferred knowledge of Epic inventory management software.                                     
• 5+ years overall business experience with supply chain and or functional roles in the health care or other regulated environment.
