Entry Level Forklift Operator ($21.53/hr, Night Shift 6p-6a, Mon-Fri schedule)

Job Purpose

To operate mobile equipment on the TechShield product line in an OSB manufacturing facility.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain product levels for Techshield process
• Organize and package downgraded Techshield product material
• Completes forklift checklist
• Cleans and maintains Techshield area; including organizing completed units and warehouse area
• Retrieves and stages product for Techshield to process
• Organize downgraded crossouts from WIP Techshield units
• Unload and load trucks, assist with other forklift duties directed by supervisor and/or leadman
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
• Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
• Time management skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

 

Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

• 3 – 6 months experience operating mobile equipment preferred. 
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

 

Work Environment

Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and other inclement conditions.
