Dental Assistant

Cape Fear Endodontics in Wilmington, North Carolina is a specialty dental practice seeking a highly motivated, full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. 

A background in Dental Assisting and/or an X-ray certification is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong work ethic, compassion, communication skills, and the ability to work as a team player.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during a variety of endodontic procedures to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
• Greet and guide patients through their treatment experience, making them feel at ease.
• Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments while preparing treatment rooms according to strict protocols.
• Capture X-rays and scans as needed.
• Accurately document patient information and chart notes.
• Perform administrative office tasks using a computer and dental software (EndoVision). 

Requirements

• 1+ years of Dental Assisting experience preferred but is not required.
• X-ray Certification is preferred, but not required. 
• Customer service experience preferred—we value a friendly, patient-first attitude. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based tasks.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
