Restaurant Cashier (Harrah's Joliet) Full-Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Must have at least six (6) months to 1 year of previous money handling and cash register experience. 
• Mush have strong guest service orientation, able to handle monetary transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be able to manually close down the cash register. 
• Sincerely greets and welcomes all guests and maintains a professional presence when interacting with guests.
• Assures timely delivery of all food and beverages; assists in some food preparation.
• Maintains a clean, neat, organized site as well as a comfortable environment for each guest.
• Must become a Barista 
• Assists in all aspects of both operation when necessary.
• Follows all standard safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Performs all side work duties as described for assigned shift.
• Adheres to attendance guidelines and follows all regulatory, departmental and company policies. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be friendly and have a positive attitude. 
• Must be punctual and reliable. 
• Must be flexible with scheduling to include nights, holidays and weekends.
• A primary outlet/shift will be assigned; however, you must be able to cover shifts as needed during the following hours:
  • • Slice Pizzeria & Pasta : 4pm – 4am
    • Cross Street Grill: 12pm -1am
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must present a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance.
• Requires knowledge of operating point of sale.
• Must be multi-task oriented and work well under pressure.

JOB DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Position requires 90% standing, 10% walking.
• Requires some bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching overhead.
• Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
• Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.
