The opportunity

The Associate Director of BSO is a business operations lead who collaborates with the GSD Leadership Team to ensure GSD’s long-term operational excellence. Under the guidance of the Head of BSO, this role supports GSD quality and vendor management. The Associate Director is responsible for coordinating GSD Trial Master File (TMF) management and Inspection Readiness preparations. As the GSD quality lead, this role collaborates closely with the GSD functional subject matter experts in GSD Job Aid management and process improvement. Additionally, the Associate Director liaises with R&D Clinical Quality Assurance and Training to track and resolve procedural deviations, as well as ensure training compliance with company policies and procedures. The Associate Director also supports GSD vendor management, including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, vendor performance assessment, compliance monitoring, and budget management.


Travel Requirements:  International or Domestic

 

The ideal candidate in this role can be onsite at the West Chester, PA location 3 days a week, however, we are open to considering a remote based employee if qualified

How you’ll spend your day

  • Primarily work on the multiple product/program level
  • Collaborate with Procurement in vendor evaluation and contract negotiation
  • Evaluate vendor performance in quality, timely delivery, and adherence to agreed-upon standards. Track and promptly report issues to GSD management
  • Support GSD functional managers in purchase order, accrual, and invoice tracking and issue resolutions
  • Coordinate GSD TMF reviews and inspection readiness preparations
  • Support GSD job aid creations and maintenance
  • Liaise with Processes & Procedures in GSD procedural deviations and quality events tracking and resolution
  • Liaise with Training and monitor GSD training compliance
  • Support, contribute to, and lead BSO initiatives
  • Possibly to have direct reports; Oversees contingent workers and/or vendors; Provides training to others; Strategically analyzes needs to manage resources

Your experience and qualifications

Required:

  • Master or PhD in statistics, data science, computer science, life sciences or other related fields with minimum of 6 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience

 

Functional Knowledge:

  • Subject matter expert in statistical, programming, and medical writing processes and activities. Knowledge in clinical trials and regulations. Project management skills or prior experience in managing projects related to regulatory activities. Experience working with vendors or CROs on clinical trial related activities.
