JOB SUMMARY

The Textron Treasury – Pension Investment Management team seeks an individual with excellent analytical, communication and project management skills to assist in managing the operational complexities associated with Textron’s retirement and employee benefit plans. The Sr. Analyst, Investment Operations is responsible for managing the operational and risk complexities of the Textron investment retirement assets (a compilation of defined benefit and defined contribution plans).  This position manages the liquidity of the retirement assets and underlying benefit plans, develops and oversees operational, financial and analytics reporting.  They are responsible for directing the compliance programs to ensure adherence with applicable accounting pronouncements and regulatory standards.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing all investment operations to ensure activities (i.e., asset rebalancing, trade execution, account structure, etc.) are processed efficiently and in accordance with investment objectives.  
  • Oversee the processing of service provider (i.e., investment managers, custodian, etc.) fees and wires to ensure obligations are settled accurately and timely.
  • Direct, design, and implement operational procedures to ensure processes are efficient and effective.  
  • Manage accounting and financial statement reporting for activities of the Master Trust and defined contribution plans (i.e., 10-k financial schedules, disclosures, and plan financials).
  • Review the general ledger and direct the custodian on specific journal entries related to investment activities to ensure assets are accurately and fairly stated.
  • Develop and maintain a broad network of industry contacts to ensure information flow of new ideas and investment best practices.  
  • Coordinate investment activities to ensure sufficient funds exist to cover defined benefit obligations  
  • Prepare weekly cash flow statements detailing transactions.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of compliance programs.
  • Assist in facilitating quarterly Investment Committee reporting based on asset performance and investment strategies.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Strong project management experience
  • Experience in accounting, tax, audit, financial services, or related field
  • Familiarity with investment concepts, portfolio strategies, and financial market securities a plus
  • Problem solving, attentive to details
  • Analytical. Strong writing, and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proven ability to design and utilize worksheets. Able to communicate quantitative information and statistical conclusions.
