The Opportunity: 

Capa Chef  

Who We Look For: 

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Capa Culinary team, overseeing operations in our Spanish-influenced cuisine, rooftop steakhouse, and bar—a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the entire culinary team of the dining outlet. 

• Collaborate in the creation of menu recipes, specials, and managing inventory orders. 

• Demonstrate creativity, flair, and the ability to provide guidance to team members. 

• Exhibit strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as PR experience. 

• Work closely with the front of house staff, particularly the restaurant manager, to ensure the restaurant's success. 

• Take the lead in setting and upholding all standards and help train employees on standards, menus, recipes, and cooking procedures. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

• 3-5 years of culinary experience  

• Extensive prior experience working with a grill, as this technique is what drives the restaurant.  

• Possess great communication skills and experience in using/working with a computer   

• Must be Food Safe Certified, and Birch Street knowledge is a plus   

• A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.  

• Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.  

• Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.  

• High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.

A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.
