Instruction and Project Coordinator

Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Instruction and Project Coordinator – P01237 in the Wakulla Environmental Institute. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community. 

What You’ll Do
The position organizes, facilitates, and manages new educational programs in accordance with the mission and goals of the College and the Wakulla Environmental Institute (WEI), including the WEI Agriculture Program. Also provides support and assistance in the identification and delivery of WEI environmental educational programs and oversee use of WEI facility.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

  • General Duties: Works closely with Workforce Development to ensure programs are viable and effective. Assists with administrative tasks as required. Maintain necessary records/files on program(s).   Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Budget: Assists with program budgeting/purchasing procedures including creating PO’s and collecting needed documentation, which includes, but are not limited to tracking debits and revenue for all WEI cost centers; assists with managing program budgets WEI in Workday; ensuring compliance with TCC budgeting rules and regulations. Reviews reports and provides data as needed to assist the Director with the creation of WEI’s annual budget.

  • Management of Facility Use:   Maintains WEI event/facility use calendar and coordinates with Auxiliary Services staff.  Completes and monitors work requests as necessary.  Oversees the utilization of WEI education facilities, by College and guests/lessees.  Acts as program liaison, consultant, advisor, and provides general support to facility users.  Works with Facilities to ensure maintenance and upkeep of facility. Assists with the maintenance and facility clean up.

  • Manages  Academic Programming:  Plans, organizes and coordinates assigned educational program(s).  Oversees and manages program marketing, publicity, and website updates and attends programs as needed. Participates in the collection of data and/or conduct of surveys on all program activities. 

  • Programming Administration: Organizes, facilitates, and manages new educational programs in accordance with the mission and goals of the College and the Wakulla Environmental Institute (WEI), including the WEI Agriculture Program.  Coordinates partnerships, oversees, and manages the development and duration of new courses, including WEI curriculum and instruction. Identifies and schedules training, academic programming, and certification courses. Ensures instructors are subject matter experts and delivers content in accordance with College metrics and standards. Revises and updates curriculum as necessary.

  • Course Instruction:  Teaches students in specific fields of expertise. Develops and manages class syllabus, ensuring it meets college and department standards. Plans and creates in-class discussions and assignments.  Evaluates student performance.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related experience. 

  • Training or teaching experience is highly preferred.
