POSITION TITLE: Lead Automotive Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

DEPARTMENT: Service

POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in directing junior technicians and functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to inspect, diagnose and perform basic automotive repairs and preventive services. 

Annual Salary $80,000 to $100,000 plus / No nights or Weekends

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides helpful, friendly and respectful customer service with a We Can Do That
• attitude.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs basic systems including brakes, alignments, suspension, 
• an cooling systems.
• Leads and mentors junior technicians to assist in their growth and development.
• Changes oil and/or transmission fluid and filters.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Road test vehicles.
• Helps increase sales, improve store profitability and reduces controllable expenses.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Secondary Job Functions:

• Cross train in other areas as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• ASE Certifications and/or a technical school degree are preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in an automotive service facility preferred.
• Should possess tools necessary to perform routine maintenance and repairs
