Job Duties:

With a high degree of discretion and independent decision making, the Senior Software Architect will be responsible for the following duties:

• Lead and drive Product and Solution Architecture capabilities, standards, and tooling.
• Provide architectural leadership across several interdependent engineering teams, cloud-based products, and solutions.
• Influence and accelerate Product and Solution delivery by contributing to the standardization of architecture as needed across multiple products. Drive system thinking within development teams.
• Be the technical expert, research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art technology as applicable to business needs.
• Collaborate with product management, platform engineering, customer engineering, and other groups to execute on the business vision.
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills to communicate architectural and design options, educating engineering teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.
• Build strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitate leadership, attract and retain key talent. Be a talent steward for the engineering organization, mentor rising leaders.
• Be hands-on and create reference implementations and contribute across the SDLC both from functional and non-functional perspectives.
• Participate in troubleshooting customer incidents and production issues.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders in furthering our offerings through an understanding of the healthcare tech space.

This position allows for telecommuting.

   

Salary:

The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.

   

Education:

U.S. Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS, CE, EE, IT, or directly related. 

   

Experience:

Five (5) years of experience as a S/W Engr, S/W Architect, S/W Developer, or closely related occupation.

   

Skills:

Must have experience with:

- Java or C# or Python

- PostgreSQL

- NoSQL technologies: DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis

- Cloud technologies: AWS PAAS and IAAS services

- Software architecture and design

- FHIR and HL7 standards
