This role will give you valuable hands-on experience in Project Management, Sustainable Procurement, Company Initiatives, and Supplier Diversity, making it an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to build essential skills.

As an Outsourcing Procurement Intern, you will be responsible for developing training resources on Supplier Diversity & Sustainable Procurement, managing the collection of information from sales representatives, running a CSR assessment campaign, and streamlining the Tier II Spend information collection process. 
 
Overview:

The Outsourcing Procurement Intern position is a supportive role to the Responsible Sourcing Manager and is an opportunity for the right candidate to build skills in Project Management, Sustainable Procurement, Company Initiative Execution, and Supplier Diversity.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Development of trainings and resources for the company to utilize around Supplier Diversity & Sustainable Procurement.
  • Manage collection of information from Sales representatives regarding Tier II Diverse Spend requirements and reporting details. 
  • Run an EcoVadis (CSR assessment) campaign, involving determining which suppliers to include, collection of contact details, and monitoring progress. 
  • Develop Tier II Spend information collection process that is streamlined and efficient. 

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite. 
  • Must be flexible and exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
  • We are seeking an individual who can work independently and/or collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be a team player, willing to ask for help when needed, and focus on learning about Responsible Sourcing entails and has to offer! 

Additional Information

The rate of pay for this role is between $16.00 - $22.00 / an hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
