Job Description
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support the Machining Operations Center (MOC) located within our Orlando, FL campus. The MOC specializes in producing ultra-precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro-optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications.

Responsibilities may include one or more of the following: - Create work instructions detailing the appropriate equipment, methods, special processes, tools and fixturing required to manufacture our complex components.
- Design of special tools and fixtures required to support manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
- Perform Root Cause analysis and implement effective Corrective Action to address quality related issues.
- Investigate, propose, and implement technology to reduce costs and/or improve quality.
- Utilize CAM software for CNC programming
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, ProEngineer, or Solidworks
The candidate must be a US citizen.
Desired skills
- Experience with CNC machines, mills, or lathes through internships or University work
- Experience with production manufacturing
- Lean Six Sigma
- CAM programming - G-code
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Root Cause Analysis
- Experience with metal machining.
- Experience with automation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Windchill
