Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Director directly oversees the management of the HPER Building, including the UREC Natatorium, and departmental risk management and safety. Staff responsibilities include one full-time staff member, and directly and indirectly supervise approximately 60+ student staff members in part-time positions. This position also includes reservation management for the UREC Natatorium. Additional responsibilities include the creation, enforcement, and execution of facility and aquatic policies and procedures, programming, maintenance, risk management, and Red Cross administration.

The Assistant Director is responsible for the overall management of the HPER Building, including the UREC Natatorium, and oversees departmental risk management and safety protocols. This position supervises one full-time staff member and directly or indirectly manages over 60 part-time student staff members. Additional duties include managing reservations for the UREC Natatorium, as well as developing, implementing, and enforcing facility and aquatic policies and procedures. The role oversees programming, facility maintenance, risk management, and the administration of Red Cross certifications and standards.
