About the Role:
The Director, Channel Marketing is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that successfully introduce and promote Security Benefit products, services and solutions to the marketplace. This leader drives go-to-market planning, market activation, and integrated campaigns that build awareness, engagement, and adoption across advisor and strategic partner audiences.
Serving as the primary marketing partner to Distribution and Strategic Accounts, this role collaborates across Product Management, Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, Digital Engagement, Marketing Operations, and Creative Services to ensure product launches and campaigns are supported by coordinated marketing strategies that align with business priorities and deliver measurable business results.
The Director, Channel Marketing position reports to the 2nd VP, Product & Channel Marketing and can be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas, or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Market Activation
• Develop integrated go-to-market marketing strategies for new product launches, product enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
• Translate business objectives into comprehensive marketing plans that support product awareness, advisor engagement, and sales growth.
• Define target audiences and establish segmentation strategies, marketing objectives, channel strategies, customer journeys, and measurable success metrics.
• Drive the execution of omnichannel marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, events, advisor communications, and digital channels.
• Partner with Product Marketing to ensure all market activation strategies align with approved product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
Strategic Account & Distribution Partnership
• Serve as the primary marketing partner to Distribution and National Accounts, helping develop marketing strategies that support firm-specific opportunities and advisor engagement.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to identify marketing opportunities, promotional strategies, and campaigns that support business priorities and product adoption.
• Tailor marketing initiatives for advisor segments and strategic partner audiences.
• Create sales enablement materials including presentations, playbooks, and campaign assets to support Sales and align with firm-specific strategies.

Partner Communications
• Own the development of partner-facing communications, ensuring firms receive accurate, relevant, and timely information regarding product launches, enhancements, marketing programs, training opportunities, and sales resources.
• Develop and execute communication plans that keep strategic partners, distribution teams, and advisors informed throughout the product launch lifecycle.
• Ensure partner communications are aligned with product positioning, launch timelines, and enterprise marketing initiatives while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of partner communications through stakeholder feedback and engagement metrics, continuously refining content and communication strategies to improve awareness and understanding.
Campaign Strategy & Marketing Execution
• Develop and oversee integrated campaign plans that coordinate messaging, creative development, channel execution, and promotional activities.
• Partner with Creative Services, Marketing Operations, Digital Engagement, and Communications to deliver coordinated marketing initiatives.
• Ensure campaign execution aligns with brand standards.
• Lead launch communications, promotional calendars, and marketing deliverables to maximize market impact.
Cross-Functional Marketing Leadership
• Represent Marketing in cross-functional planning meetings to understand product developments, launch timing, and business priorities, ensuring marketing plans remain aligned and responsive. Proactively communicate project updates, marketing priorities, and launch plans to stakehold
