This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You’ll Work On
- This posting is for a warehouse lead role, which is responsible for providing support and/or oversight in the Distribution Center.
- Focus will be on capital project implementation, process improvements, new product introduction support, technical troubleshooting, data management, and root cause/corrective action investigations
- Be required to interact and communicate with both division and plant support personnel (Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Safety, QA, and Training) to assure that projects and/or issues are addressed with minimal impact to shipping.
- All other project work assigned (Schedule maintenance and engineering work as needed, flexible work schedule.)
- Operate a forklift regularly to perform job duties
- Timely and accurate paper and computer work
- Specific duties as detailed by the Logistics Site Manager/FLL in regards to on the job training
- Serve as a department point of contact in the absence of the manager or supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor to meet the expectations of the department
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use a computer to perform the job duties
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of Logistics experience
- Experience with the safe operations of forklift equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
