Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY. and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The General Accountant position will reside in McKinney, TX and provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to several aspects of the company. The position will provide increasing levels of responsibility and the opportunity to gain exposure to management, including the Controller, General Manager, Operations Managers and other department managers. The position is directly involved in implementing various SAP functionality related to Accounts Payable processing.  The position contains a high potential for growth and requires an individual that will take initiative and be a self-starter. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Actively involved in various month-end financial close processes, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Perform financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Accounts Payable functions, including coding, 3-way match, and posting
  • Manage supplier EDI accounting transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
  • Work with commodity managers to research pricing discrepancies/prepare pricing settlements
  • Work directly with PACCAR suppliers to maintain positive relationships
  • Accounts Payable related research and issue resolution
  • Lead team oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Implement SAP functionality related to Accounts Payable processes
  • Prepare various schedules for monthly management reports
  • Participate in year-end closing activities as assigned
  • Special projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager and/or Controller
  • Provide accounting support for operations

Qualifications

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of accounting concepts
  • Intermediate MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, vlookups, etc) and Access skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Deadline oriented and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to research and problem solve
  • Positive attitude and “can-do” approach to issue resolution
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems
  • SAP expereience preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • BS/BA Accounting degree preferred
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with co-workers and others
  • Desire to develop leadership and technical skills; pursue advancement opportunities within the company
  • CPA eligible/working towards CPA certification desired
