Smoke Shop Cashier-PT

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Smoke Shop Manager, the incumbent is responsible for making sales, stocking, and occasional ordering. Work 26-32 hours per week, mostly evenings and weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates electric cash register
• Accepts payment and makes change as necessary
• Takes cash register reading and completes daily reports
• Stocks and orders inventory, as needed
• Must be able to work flexible hours when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Smoke Shop Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of customers, tribal members, staff, wholesalers, and sales people.
• Must possess sufficient math skills to calculate daily sales reports, bank deposits, orders, make change and other mathematical calculations necessary for the effective operation of a small retail outlet.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physically able to stand / walk on your feet up to 8 hours, reaching over your head, bending, squatting and lifting up to 25 lbs.
