As a Shift Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the shift team and safely operating the manufacturing facility to produce quality finished products and chemical intermediates by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and safety/regulatory requirements. The Shift Team Lead works as a member of a shift team.  There are 5 members of each team, with each having specific duties and areas of responsibility within the shift.  The work schedule is a rotating 12-hour schedule (“DuPont schedule”).

Responsibilities: 

• Oversees and performs daily/nightly production activities by reviewing production records, assigning work among operators, operating equipment, and monitoring activities to ensure products are produced according to the production schedule.  
• Communicates manufacturing process status with relevant critical data and details to management, team members and other internal departments as appropriate.
• Contributes to the writing and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), preparing documentation and reports as required.
• Assists with improving operator performance by contributing to employee training, monitoring production activities.
• Acts as a role model for production operators by maintaining open lines of communication, recommending corrections to issues in a timely manner (including performance recommendations) and contributing to annual performance reviews.
• Conducts SHE incident reviews with team; organizes weekly safety meetings.

You bring:

• High School diploma or GED
• Process Technology degree is preferred
• Valid & unrestricted driver’s license
• Achieved minimum of 5 years of service and two production areas in Freeport
• Process troubleshooting expertise (pumps, valves, motors, etc.)
• Must be an Incident Commander
