Equipment Maintenance Tech 3

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Equipment Maintenance Tech 3 at MKS, you will partner with Equipment Maintenance Group and Facilities, to perform Preventative Maintenance and repairs on production equipment. In this role, you will report to the Equipment Repair Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

•  Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process, along with equipment software and hardware systems.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers
• Performing scheduled Preventative Maintenance on equipment and documenting required information into online logs.
• Travel Requirements: N/A

Skills You Bring:
•  Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required
•  2+ years of related experience required
• May require experience in testing digital and/or analog systems

Preferred Skills:
• Former preventative maintenance training preferred
• Excel / Word experience required for logging purposes

• Manufacturing Maintenance experience preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 20% of the time
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
