IT Software Developer

Description

The IT Software Developer will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, maintaining, documenting, and improving applications and programs. They will work closely with design, data, and technology team members to enhance and expand our current portfolio of applications and create new systems and services. They should have strong development skills and the ability to transform complex requirements into applications that are human-centered and easy to navigate. 

Requirements

•  Design and develop high-performance back-end systems and APIs used by hundreds of thousands of users globally.
•  Use state-of-the-art back-end technologies to develop highly available applications and APIs that can scale in a multi-datacenter production environment.
• Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high-quality software delivery, sprint after sprint.
• Leverage automation testing methods to increase test coverage and build confidence in a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for complex problems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance to ensure fast loading times and a smooth user experience.
• Collaborate with business and IT colleagues to assess needs, ensure understanding of requirements, analyze solutions, and implement enhancements and fixes for a portfolio of applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in frontend and backend development and systems.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience with multiple RDBMS systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL.
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience in CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, IIS, C/C++, etc. AWS is a plus.
- Experience managing database lifecycle using the Entity Framework ORM, processes, and patterns.
- Experience building automation and understanding the importance of hands-free deployment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to master new programming languages and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of the techniques necessary to operate data systems at scale without impacting the performance of online systems.
