Lead Server | Hotel Leo
As a Lead Server, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. With a calm presence and an eye for detail, you’ll ensure each guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience. You’ll lead by example by upholding service standards, supporting your team, and stepping in to solve challenges with poise and efficiency. From welcoming guests and taking orders to presenting food and drink with care, your day-to-day work will bring this space to life. You’ll also help maintain opening and closing procedures and ensure attractive and consistent presentation of menu items and service, in alignment with the standards and vision set by the Food & Beverage Director. Your leadership and hospitality will be vital to creating expectational experiences for each guest and team member.

What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
• Oversees service operations to hold the standards set by the F&B Director
• Effectively communicates service challenges to F&B leaders to support exceptional experiences for guests.
• Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
• May serve in a banquet environment and be a guest facing point of contact for parties and events as needed
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized and leads other team members in upholding service standards and procedures.
The Nitty Gritty
• Previous experience as server in a similar dining environment
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
