Summary of Job Duties:

The 9-month, non-tenure track, Teaching Assistant Professor of Public Health will teach undergraduate and graduate courses (typical load is four 3-credit hour courses each semester); mentor undergraduate and graduate students as needed; serve on master thesis and dissertation committees, and provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned Ph.D., Dr.PH, or Ed.D. in Public Health or related field conferred by start of employment from an accredited institution of higher education

• Evidence or promise of highly effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate levels

• Evidence or potential of service to the department, institution, and profession

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in field of Public Health or closely related field

• Evidence of effective student mentoring/advising

• Experience or interest in the scholarship of teaching and learni
