Customer & Authentication is a fast-growing team, and sits at the crossroads for many of Chase’s key initiatives.
Content Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including experience researchers and product designers, committed to designing the future of banking. Our Customer & Authentication team leads complex projects that impact millions of users in a daily basis.
As a Content Design Lead, VP in our Digital team, you will play a crucial role in planning, creating, and structuring product content to build customer confidence in Customer Identity and Authentication (CI&A) at Chase. You will collaborate with UX Designers, Researchers, and product partners to set the direction of our products and roadmap. Your strategic approach, understanding of customer and business needs, and ability to coordinate across product development teams will be key to simplifying complexity for our users.
As a Content Design Lead, VP in Customer Identity and Authentication at Chase, you will be at the forefront of creating secure customer experiences.
Your role will involve planning, creating, and structuring product content, collaborating with high-performing UX Designers, Researchers, and product partners.
Your strategic approach, understanding of customer and business needs, and ability to coordinate across product development teams will be key in delivering top-notch content and user experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop content requirements in partnership with Product Management and Experience Design Lead
- Deliver content components (UI language, product education, etc.) across the team
- Incorporate different kinds of data (research findings, analytics) into content requirements
- Contribute to the structural design of product experience (navigation, labeling, flow)
- Lead adherence in content governance and approvals process
- Use and actively contribute to content systems (standards, voice and tone, messaging, and accessibility libraries)
- Partner with Product Designers to develop wireframes and iterative prototypes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, English, Rhetoric), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
- Self-directed in both planning and structuring your effort, and executing and expected levels of quality; you don’t need someone guiding you through the work
- Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other Product Designers, UX Researchers, and Content Designers) and cross-functionally with Product Managers, and Software Engineers
- Advanced skills in UX Writing and Information Architecture; Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, Interaction Design, and Visual UI Design
- Thorough knowledge of English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage
- Experience working with brand and copy standards, including style, voice and tone
- Comfortable and confident when presenting work to cross-functional Directors
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
- Demonstrated experience with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
- Familiarity with the organizational navigation required for content compliance, including legal and accessibility reviews
- Demonstrated understanding of how design connects with broader business value
