S-mobiili

S-mobiili is the crown jewel of S Group’s mobile applications. Almost 2.5 M people have downloaded and registered, making it one of Finland's most popular mobile applications. It’s not only popular regarding the number of users and respectable app ratings (Android 4.4; iOS 4.5), but also versatile and multi-functional. S-mobiili is a unique combination of services for S Group's customer-owners and S-Bank's banking services - now also in English. With S-mobiili our customer-owners can take care of their daily banking activities and take the most out of their co-op membership by following up their bonus accrual and exploring new ways to gain more out of being a co-op member.

The S-mobiili team comprises 40 professionals from design, coding, QA, DevOps, and business making it all work together. As a team, we are sharing the end-to-end product responsibility, starting from misty ideas to releasing and operations. We are an international and diverse group of people who follow agile ways of working and strive to achieve business goals when developing and operating the application. We have organized a team-of-teams setup, including S-Pankki and SOK Loyalty teams, where all the squads have special responsibilities while working closely together to secure agility and transfer of knowledge.

Your responsibilities

As a Visual & UI Designer (mid-level/ senior), your role is pivotal in the journey from ideation to execution. You'll be the creative force responsible for translating ideas and solution concepts into visually compelling designs. You play a key role in iterating the ideas and solution concepts into delightful experiences. You will design high-fidelity screens and visual assets, which is a key part of the job in daily work.

Our working style is very communicative, and you will work closely with Android, iOS, and server developers during the implementation phases. Building prototypes and other assets for user testing sessions is something we do regularly. You get to work with bigger solution design projects and smaller iterative improvements.

In this role, you will be a part of SOK’s in-house Design Community and enrich the daily lives of millions in Finland. At SOK Design we have over 40 internal designers working together with engineers and business professionals creating omnichannel experiences for our customers and employees.

What we hope from you

This role embodies creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of user-centric design principles. You have good spoken and written English (Finnish is a plus). 

• Experience on consumer-facing mobile app design

• Solid visual interface design and prototyping skills   

• At least basic skills in motion design (for UI) 

• Illustration skills (for UI) are highly appreciated

• Experience and interest in accessibility is a big plus 

• Ability to work at the office premises (hybrid mode)
