About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior IT Program Manager for a contract located in Washington, DC. You will provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the execution of this contract. Your ability to adapt to a diverse workforce audience when preparing and conducting briefings will be vital within this work. One of your strong points is your eagerness to put the customer’s needs at the forefront of your problem solving, including being proactive in asking questions when you need more information. Your strong leadership skills combined with your extensive experience managing large scale Enterprise IT Service Delivery and Management Programs will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day leadership of technical operations, including all aspects of systems integration, engineering design, material procurement, fabrication, systems assembly and installation, environmental testing, logistics, fielding, and follow-on support.

  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.  Interface with government personnel.

  • Formulate and review project feasibility studies, determine costs, ensure conformance to work standards. 

  • Interpret policies, purposes, and goals of the organizations for subordinates. 

  • Identify, acquire and utilize company resources to achieve project technical objectives. 

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program, and technical personnel.  

  • Responsible for managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort. 

  • Provides direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience leading/managing large-scale IT programs, including service delivery contract, mission critical programs, IT Infrastructure systems and solution development

    • In lieu of a degree, at least 16 years of experience leading/managing large-scale IT programs, including service delivery contract, mission critical programs, IT Infrastructure systems and solution development

  • At least 8 years of proven experience managing a program with at least 200 personnel delivering Infrastructure and Operations Support Services to at least 6,000 end users across multiple locations

  • At least 5 years of experience interfacing and presenting to C-level executives

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Program Management Institute (PMI) certification (i.e Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification)

       

Compensation Details:

$180,000 - $220,000
