Performance Engineer (Mobile)

Tech Firefly is teaming up with a national financial services company to hire a Performance Engineer.

No C2C, must be able to work on W2

Locations: Dallas, TX / Austin, TX / Denver, CO (Must be flexible to work hybrid on-site, 3 days per week)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute performance tests using industry standard tools and techniques
• Gather and analyze data from performance tests to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues
• Create and maintain performance test scripts, scenarios and test data
• Develop and maintain performance test plans, reports and analysis
• Identify and recommend improvements to hardware and software systems to improve overall performance
• Collaborate with developers and architects to optimize web application performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in performance testing, load testing and stress testing
• Proven experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter or Gatling
• Hands-on coding experience with C# or other object -oriented programming languages
• Solid understanding of Mobile Development on iOS and/or Android devices
• Experience in building performance testing scripts from scratch
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, infrastructure, and concepts such as caching, load balancing, and session management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies
