Assist the Underwriting Team in underwriting a portfolio of business in accordance with the business plan and the guidelines determined by the MS Amlin AG Board.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Your responsibilities</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Quote, underwrite, manage and attract business on a client relationship basis.</p></li><li><p>Assist the Lead Underwriter in underwriting, analysing, quoting, servicing and processing business within the relevant portfolios in accordance with the business plan and MS Amlin Bermuda’s underwriting procedures and <span>guidelines.  </span></p></li><li><p>Lead client meetings at broker and client meetings with the Underwriters as invited and/or as required.</p></li><li><p>Attend and participate at regular Underwriting Department meetings.</p></li><li><p>Analyse underwriting submissions and preparation of rating sheets.</p></li><li><p>Full account analysis - technical rating, submission review, catastrophe model output review, slip terms and conditions review.</p></li><li><p>Review and Liaise with legal team on contract language.</p></li><li><p>Review and agree endorsements as per designated authority.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with both brokers and clients throughout the underwriting process.</p></li><li><p>Produce system-generated management information reports as required by the Lead Underwriter or by the Operations and Underwriting Manager.</p></li><li><p>Be involved in the RDS and aggregation processes and in reserving and business planning as required. </p></li><li><p>Assist with any special projects as required.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Your profile</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum of 3-5 years underwriting or related industry experience.</p></li><li><p>Possession of or progression towards an industry related certification is preferred but not required (CPCU, Are or ACII).  </p></li><li><p>Casualty and/or Healthcare <span>insurance/reinsurance</span> knowledge is required.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of contract terms and conditions.</p></li><li><p>Analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Able to demonstrate achievement of client centric value propositions.</p></li><li><p>Existing good working relationships with both clients and brokers; strong relationships with brokers and other distribution channels and an overall orientation towards providing exemplary client service are critical.</p></li><li><p>Proven capability of developing new and existing broker and client relationships and run client meetings regularly without support.</p></li><li><p>Competent in pricing risks within the area of authority.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and a team player. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What we offer</span></b></p><p>We offer a modern workplace, an entrepreneurial culture with room for innovation and a hybrid work model.
