Our platform is scaling fast, and we’re looking for a <strong>Senior DevOps Engineer</strong> to join our team in Berlin and help us keep things smooth, secure, and seriously efficient.</p><p></p><h3>💪 What you’ll do</h3><ul> <li> Maintain and improve the <strong>cloud infrastructure</strong> that powers our global Trade Finance platform — built on <strong>Kubernetes</strong>, <strong>Docker</strong>, and <strong>AWS</strong> </li> <li> Support our <strong>Business Intelligence</strong> infrastructure so data flows fast and clean </li> <li> Enhance <strong>monitoring, alerting, and logging</strong> with tools like <strong>Prometheus</strong>, <strong>Grafana</strong>, <strong>PagerDuty</strong>, <strong>EFK</strong>, and <strong>Graylog</strong> </li> <li> Handle production incidents, drive resolution, and write clear <strong>postmortems (RCAs)</strong> </li> <li> Keep our <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> in top shape, follow DevOps best practices, and work closely with our dev teams to make deployment as smooth as possible </li> <li> Manage and evolve our <strong>Infrastructure as Code</strong> with tools like <strong>Terraform</strong>, <strong>Ansible</strong>, and <strong>Packer</strong> </li> <li> Take part in technical decisions that shape how we build, run, and scale our systems </li> <li> Occasionally jump in to support the office network and help with client support issues when needed — we’re a startup, after all </li> </ul><ul><li>You'll participate in Engineering decisions to further improve our infrastructure and processes.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><h3>🧠 What you bring</h3><ul> <li> Solid hands-on experience in <strong>DevOps</strong>, <strong>Cloud Engineering</strong>, and <strong>Release Engineering</strong> — ideally in a <strong>microservices SaaS environment</strong> </li> <li> You're a <strong>Linux wizard</strong> — from automation and troubleshooting to fine-grained tuning </li> <li> Deep understanding of internet plumbing: <strong>HTTP/S</strong>, <strong>DNS</strong>, <strong>TCP/IP</strong>, <strong>SSL</strong> </li> <li> You know how to design production infrastructure that’s <strong>resilient, secure, and cost-effective</strong> </li> <li> You’ve worked extensively with <strong>Kubernetes</strong> — from orchestration and scaling to monitoring and recovery </li> <li> You’re a confident scripter in <strong>Bash</strong> and <strong>Python</strong> </li> <li> You’ve run both <strong>SQL and NoSQL</strong> databases in production — like <strong>PostgreSQL</strong>, <strong>Redis</strong>, or <strong>MongoDB</strong> </li> <li>You love to build great things together with your team and you have excellent communication skills.</li> <li>You are a highly reliable person and you like to take ownership for your work and a fast learner.</li> </ul><p></p><ul> <li><strong>Nice to Have</strong></li> <li>Professional training or certification in cloud/sysadmin/devops/infosec</li> <li>Background in information security</li> <li>Knowledge in the management of Apache Kafka clusters</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Why MODIFI?
