Environmental Field Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Manager to oversee our Groundwater Remediation Treatment Programs at the Downing Reservoir Interceptor Trench and Groundwater Treatment System (Downing GWTS) located within the Denver Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado. The Field Manager will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our groundwater remediation efforts, ensuring the highest standards of environmental compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the operational aspects of groundwater remediation treatment programs, including planning, scheduling, implementing, and monitoring all field activities.
• Manage a team of technicians, scientists, and contractors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with the Environmental Project Manager to align field activities with overall project objectives and compliance requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of groundwater treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess the progress of remediation activities and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential environmental and safety risks associated with field operations.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on field operations, including remediation progress, challenges encountered, and solutions implemented.
• Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the community regarding field operations and environmental impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing groundwater remediation treatment programs, with a strong emphasis on field operations and team leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and standards applicable to groundwater remediation.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams in a field environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions and challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using project management software and technology relevant to groundwater treatment and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in environmental management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working on environmental remediation projects within federal facilities or government contracts.
• Familiarity with the Denver Federal Center and its environmental and regulatory landscape.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Grade 18: $80,000 - $120,000

In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate’s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
