We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as a Senior Supply Chain Controller
As a Senior Supply Chain Controller you will be the voice of the customer, working with our suppliers, providing a first-class service whilst ensuring the customer’s needs are understood and managed within our organisation and with our suppliers.
You will undertake more complex supplier management, ensuring exceptional performance to the customers. You will need advances skills in synchronizing supply and demand, understanding supply chain capability, defining and implementing mitigation strategies and programme management.
Responsibilities
· Having ownership of a portfolio of suppliers/parts from order placement through delivery
· Ensuring synchronization of demand and supply
· Building effective supplier relationships at all levels
· Setting and monitoring supplier performance targets, and managing gap closure where necessary
· Managing potential gaps / excesses through negotiation and order book balancing
· Understanding customer demand signal to effectively prioritize order book
· Understanding technical and lower tier supply chain issues which may impact delivery and managing their resolution
· Building effective internal relationships to enable problem resolution
· Performing Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure implementation for delivery failure
· Balanced escalation of problems in a timely manner to ensure adequate opportunity for mitigation
· Developing a deep understanding of supplier manufacturing and control processes
· Identifying and executing mitigation strategies including alternative supply and successfully programme manage
· Direct internal and external supplier development resource to problematic areas of the supply chain
· Visits to customers’ site across UK/Europe
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Relevant experience within the Supply Chain and Procurement function
· Knowledge in aerospace industry and customer standards is desirable
· Experience in establishing, driving and developing supply chain relationships
· Intermediate understanding of lean manufacturing with a strong background in operations management
· Basic understanding of customs legislation and taxation laws
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, alongside experience using Copilot or other AI tools to enhance productivity
· Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
· Ability to hold difficult conversations and building effecting relationships
· Excellent presentation and communication skills
· Experience in delivering presentations to senior management
