POSITION SUMMARY
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the Processing Department. You will maintain operations with established standards for cost, quality, labor, materials, scrap, safety, and housekeeping. You will plan and schedule work for personnel to meet the predetermined factory production schedule, and you will maintain consistent and reliable transfer of information between all departments and personnel. In this role you will be required to be a problem solver that drives Continuous Improvement efforts across the plant. - Directly supervise Process 1 associates, daily objectives and maintain daily reports.
- Monitor the quality of products produced and respond to varying needs to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain accurate Process 1 inventory, supplies, and usage in the inventory system daily.
- Responsible for coaching, counseling, and mentoring Process 1 associates.
- Assists the H.R. Manager in handling personnel problems that pertain to the Processing Department and maintain discipline, transfers, or discharges of employees.
- Report any unsafe actions or operations to the H.R. Manager and to aid in provision for the Plant Safety Program.
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Operate a loader, bobcat and diesel forklift as needed.
- Assist other supervisors in the areas of planning and development.
- Other duties as required by supervision, none of which would require physical or mental ability that is not already needed to perform other duties as specifically listed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years in a supervisory role leading people in a manufacturing, production, technical, industrial, military, or related environment
- Must be open to working 3rd Shift and rotating weekends.
The approximate pay range for this position is $50,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
