Summary 

The Project Manager is responsible for the maintenance of customer relationships in assigned accounts, maintaining a high level of customer service at or above expectations, and demonstrating accountability for their part in the BD Sales Process. This position manages the implementation and evaluation of MMS (Medication Management Solutions) products at customer sites through the development of timelines and facilitation and scheduling of internal and external resources. The Project Manager manages multiple implementation projects through project life cycle following standardized processes, including pre-sale activity, coordination of multidisciplinary team for product implementation, and post implementation customer follow-up. Key focus is on efficiency in implementation and customer satisfaction and serves as the primary point of contact for customers during the implementation process.

Overall responsibilities:

The overall responsibilities of the implementation project manager include:

• Lead, facilitate, coordinate, and track day-to- day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, established processes, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract

• Creation and use of project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to identify risks to project success; develop effective action plans for resolution

• Appropriately manage / escalate project issues or risks

• Managing customer expectations of product and services

• Demonstrate effective communication skills, verbal and written, with customers, project teams and leadership

• Demonstrated ability of leading project teams and act as an effective team leader for all matrixed staff

• Accurately forecasting current and future quarter revenue for each assigned projects

• Use of all governance tools for all assigned projects to effectively manage all projects

Skills, Duties and Tasks particular to the job:

Project Manager

• Demonstrates knowledge of industry-recognized project management methodologies

• Demonstrates an understanding of implementation project governance expectations

• Has responsibility of small or medium sized projects or teams

• Project scope requires minimal impact to customer workflow  (single site)

• Responsible for maintaining project schedule and timeline

• Aligned with forecasting and backlog management processes

• Demonstrates effective communication and engagement with customer

• Ensures complete project closure including hand off and equipment confirmation

• Demonstrates the professional and soft skills necessary to be an effective project manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of experience in related field

• Driving requirements dictate that the candidate possess and maintain a valid driver license and be at least 21 years old.

• Home based position with travel.  Travel may range from 25 - 75%, overnight travel.  Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends.  Ability to work independently from home office.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.  This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting.

Preferred:

• Project management or leadership experience preferred

• Specific knowledge of BD business highly desired
