The Internship
Onera is looking for an Intern - Embedded Software (BioSignals). When transferring medical data via a cloud systems security is a key aspect with Bio-signals needing to be encrypted already in the embedded software. As Intern - Embedded Software you will be analysing different encryption methods, implementing an encryption algorithm on our dedicated SOC (System On Chip) and optimizing the algorithm using the available hardware accelerators. This assignment is also suitable for a graduation project.

The Responsibilities– What You’ll Do
- Investigate and compare several encryption methods such as symmetric encryption versus asymmetric encryption and select an algorithm best suitable for the embedded platform
- Investigate random number generators (used as key) based on bio signal inputs
- Implement/prototype your key generator and encryption algorithm on our hardware platform
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Passion for electronics and embedded systems
- Relevant experience implementing embedded software in C/C++
- Mathematical understanding of encryption
NOTE: EU working rights are required (if not currently studying in the Netherlands, proof of EU Citizenship is necessary)
