Roles & Responsibilities

Generative AI Model Development:

• Collaborate in developing AI applications, including AI-powered chatbots, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications, agentic AI applications, recommender engines, or other generative AI tools.

• Understand and implement fine-tuning and distillation techniques for large language models.

• Prepare datasets for Generative AI model fine-tuning.

• Automate machine learning and AI processes.

• Evaluate AI applications with AI evaluation tools.

• Manage version control and tracking of AI models, including comprehensive logging and monitoring of performance metrics.

Performance Optimization:

• Evaluate model performance to pinpoint areas needing enhancement, focusing on latency, throughput, and accuracy.

• Employ strategies such as model pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation to streamline model size and boost inference speed.

• Monitor and address potential issues in the production environment, efficiently resolving any bottlenecks.

• Continuously measure AI application responses using key metrics to maintain high output quality.

Monitoring and Alerting:

• Develop comprehensive monitoring systems to track model performance, data quality, and system health.

• Set up alerts and notifications to proactively identify and address potential issues in the production environments.

• Promptly address any harmful, unfair, or inappropriate outputs that may occur during real-world application.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Communicate technical details of AI operations to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences. 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in generative AI technologies and best practices. 

• Work closely with product software engineering and AI tooling team to deliver best-in-class experiences

Prompt Development:

• Design and develop prompts for various applications, including text generation, translation, question answering, and creative writing.

• Collaborate with product teams and engineers to understand user needs and translate them into effective prompts.

• Analyze and optimize prompts based on performance metrics and user feedback to ensure high-quality outputs.

• Conduct experiments and research to test new modes and prompting techniques.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong professional software development/programming skills primarily using Python

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (Llama, Amazon Nova, OpenAI)  and agentic frameworks

• Hands on experience with one or more ML and GenAI/LLM cloud services (Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Databricks Mosaic AI, Seldon, Arize, etc).

• Deep understanding and knowledge of data structures, distributed computing, and software engineering principles

• Experience with integrating AI models for text generation, computer vision, and image generation in
