8630 MarketingThe Senior Social Media Specialist is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic communications that support Kaweah Health’s mission and visibility. This includes oversight of social media strategy, video production, service-line communications, and public engagement. The role also manages digital reputation platforms and serves as a primary responder to online and public inquiries, helping maintain the organization’s credibility and trust. Plays a vital role in content strategy, leadership reporting, and coordination across departments.QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
Required:
Minimum of five years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
Experience managing organizational social media accounts and creating content tailored to each platform’s style and audience, including video content.
Experience developing communication strategies for multiple departments or service lines.
Preferred:
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or public sector communications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong expertise in major social media platforms, social listening tools, and reputation management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Reviews).
Skilled in video production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
Exceptional writing, editing, and copyediting capabilities.
Ability to manage complex communications across departments in a large organization.
Experience monitoring, analyzing, and reporting digital engagement and social media metrics.
Comfort presenting to senior leadership and board members.
Excellent interpersonal, project management, and collaboration skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Develops and implements communication strategies for assigned hospital service lines.
Acts as liaison between Marketing and department leaders to align messaging with strategic goals.
Manages and updates annual service-line communication plans and provides ongoing project support.
Manages and grows Kaweah Health’s presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
Leads content creation, scheduling, and publishing across platforms.
Develops campaigns in support of service-line initiatives, brand awareness, and recruitment.
Supports the Senior Digital Strategist with paid social media campaigns and reporting.
Monitors engagement and provides ongoing performance analysis and improvement recommendations.
Oversees Kaweah Health’s digital reputation, including monitoring and responding to reviews, comments, and social media mentions.
Responds promptly and appropriately to public inquiries received via social platforms, review sites, and other digital channels.
Coordinates with departments to resolve issues or elevate concerns as needed to leadership.
Produces regular video content, including external promotions or interviews.
Plans and executes scripting, shooting, recording audio, and editing, in collaboration with staff or external vendors.
Analyzes and reports on digital and social performance metrics using dashboards and analytics tools.
Presents key findings, engagement trends, and campaign effectiveness in leadership and board meetings.
Recommends content and strategy improvements based on data insights.
