About Engineering at Lilt<br/>Lilt is a high-performance, large-scale language translation system. We invest in and prioritize workflow (i.e., usability and interface design) and backend AI systems. Since the translation workforce is distributed worldwide, there are interesting cloud engineering problems to solve. We have a strong preference for building our own backend technology, so you’ll be implementing and working with the latest natural language processing (NLP) techniques and ideas.<br/>About the Role<br/>As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, UX, you will work with a group of talented, mission-driven colleagues to propose ideas to define, drive, and execute projects on Lilt’s Linguist GUI and App Server–the front door to our translation services. You will enable linguists to deliver truly localized experiences. We have a strong preference for building our own AI technology, so you’ll be implementing and working with the latest techniques and ideas.<br/>Our team values humility, grit, and professional excellence. <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in Computer Science (Master preferred) </li><li>Experience working on large-scale, distributed software systems </li><li>Experience with, or at least willingness to learn, <a href="http://node.js/">Node.js</a> and related app server technologies </li><li>Significant large-scale software engineering experience with Java and related JVM technologies </li><li>Solid relational database knowledge and significant experience with very large MySQL installations are highly valued </li><li>Basic knowledge of NLP and machine learning techniques is highly valued</li><li>Professional fluency in English</li></ul>Authorization to work in Ireland is a precondition of employment.<br/>Lilt is an equal opportunity employer.
