About the role...

This is an important new role and function within the Information Technology (IT) team. The Senior Manager, IT Business Operations is critical in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the IT department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective IT service delivery, fostering collaboration between IT and other business units, and executing daily operational tasks to support the IT teams. You will lead a small team of experts focused on operations.

In this role you can expect to...

Build strong rapport and work with cross-functional teams to support the overall IT operational needs
Manage and build a tech supply chain in conjunction with the procurement team
Drive data quality, process and automation activities that improve process efficiencies
Understand scale & scope of SaaS Ops work, which dependencies and key inputs are needed.
Support the IT group with effective internal communications
Lead a small team building up competencies in SaaS operations and IT operations
Be responsible for all purchase orders, budgets and invoicing
Use tools effectively to manage, track, monitor and keep a pulse on the SaaS Lifecycle
Provide a level of expertise into the input of processes such as user audits and software vetting needs.
Implement structured frameworks to answer data driven questions
Responsible for tracking/reporting out the Status, Progress, Roadblocks for the various initiatives
Exercise solid leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytical skills
Play a key role in vendor selection and management

10+ years of Information Systems experience in a fast-moving, agile environment in a high-growth company
You love numbers and are very detailed
Experience with POTS and SaaS licencing models
Experience with vendor contracts such as MSAs, SOWs, order forms, etc.
Vendor relationship management experience
An ability to take on initiatives without being prompted to do so
Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and the ability to effectively manage multiple activities and/or projects concurrently
An ability to handle change, ambiguity, decision-making and deadlines in a structured fashion
An ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, a strong sense of accountability, and a proven track record of driving results through both direct & indirect influence
Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities, including ad-hoc requests
Comfortable working with personnel at all levels of the organization
Experience leading IT procurement teams and with common procurement systems
Experience managing budgets, preferably for IT teams
Experience with common financial systems, and advanced spreadsheet skills
Nice to have:

Knowledge of common data analytics or business intelligence applications (Tableau)
Experience using common ITSM and CMDB systems
