The Team:

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Diabetes Centre within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre for people with diabetes requiring diabetes education in the Southern Tasmania region. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.  All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

Role of the clinical outpatient assistant is to maintain clean and hygienic surrounding according to infection control for the outpatient clinical and staff areas. Contribute to a patient focused service by undertaking a range of duties that support clinical staff for a safe and efficient area.

You will need

• Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) towards internal and external stakeholders, patients and family/carers.
• Participate in Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, initiatives to improve services and training related to the position.
• Clerical duties when required involving hospital meter audits and for hospital accreditation.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
